STeering committee

The Coalition to Combat Poverty was created to ensure that not only is the One Good Job Plan implemented, but that it continues to evolve based on the needs and recommendations brought forward by community members and their representatives.  The structure of the Coalition was determined by best practices, the priorities identified by the Commission,  and multiple efforts not to reinvent or compete with existing groups addressing key issues.  Like the strategies outlined in the Plan, the structure of the Action Teams should continue to evolve over time to meet community needs.

The Steering Committee is composed of the chairs of each Action Team in the Coalition.  Currently, this committee is in search of four representatives elected by existing resident groups, who will collectively make up the Citizens Advisory Council.  The Steering Committee's role is to maintain the overall cohesion of the Coalition.  Through quarterly meetings, this committee is able to update the various Action Teams on the work being done throughout Lancaster County.
